i think that a lot of Prince's late 90s recorded material stands up to a lot of his Purple Patch years.

for the record, can we say that there may have been a lot of stinky songs that we could have done without in the Purple Patch years that may match some of the 90s material.

in my honest opinion, Chaos And Disorder was a great album in Prince's body of work and so was The Rainbow Children. compared to what was going on in the state of popular music, Prince's was top notch....yes even C and D. yes true there has not been a SOTT or a Lovesxy in recent years but they still KICK ASS.

those people who still, ahem..pine for the 78-95 years are just people who can't seem to evolve with Prince.

Hell, I even like some of that High stuff.

I always thought one of his weakest albums in terms of sequencing was Controversy...even though I like every song on it.

The only shit I have little time for is some of the diamonds and pearls/symbol era stuff...but even there there is some real genius musicianship.

How about we make it the 76-04 club instead? There are some of us here who, like me, like a good 97% of his material.

In fact, I quit that other club - it lured me in - but I realised; I like N.E.W.S (a bit), and I do like TRC, and I like some tracks on C&D, and yes, I Like (properly) like NewPowerSoul (Mad Sex, Push it Up, Count the Days, Freaks on this Side, Come On and NewPowerSoul are all awesome tracks), Okay, admittedly, I don't like RUTJF, but I do like RITJF (well, some of it).
But Heck, I like at least one track on every album he's ever made - there has not been one album that I haven't liked some aspect of.

Yeah, I'd love to see the Daisy Chain t-shirts.
