Banishedone, i think you should go back and create new topics about Prince`s guitar playing.
Those threads were already a pain in the ass, but this one is just ridiculous.

Yeah, I realize all that. lol But, I'm not talking about the texture. I'm talking about the stiffness and the hairline. The front looked like a bad wig.

All right then. But you're a guy aren't you? I wear wigs and the style from the video didn't look like one to me. But then again I wasn't picking apart the video like that. Now the pic from the Musicology promo poster someone sent in ... yes the front looks like a wig. But I'll say it again. Leave the guy alone.

I can't believe I'm responding to this, but I couldn't resist. For one, Prince's hair was already long to start with during LoveSexy....he wore it straight during Batman. Why is it so hard to swallow it being long during Graffiti Bridge? Secondly, in the Musicology video, did it occur to anybody that he might have just worn his hair "wash & go"? A little piece of information for the white folks: when black folks wash their hair and don't blow dry it, it dries in a nappy/curly state (depending on how good a texture of hair you have). Prince's hair was somewhat in an afro state. Black hair in this state DOES NOT SHAKE AND MOVE!!

er

Just so we can end this thread and move onto something a little more enlightening and ingenius, for fact 'NO' Prince does not wear a piece or anything of that nature. I spent an ample amount of time with him when he was on the 'One Nite Alone' Tour and I was close enough to him to see that what you see on his head is actually his and is real. Believe me, I studied the man from top to bottom (his hands, face, shoes, etc) and I know for fact what you see is 100% real. There was no signs of any weaves, surgery, plugs, toupee, anything... my ex-wife is a hairdresser and I saw alot of that stuff being done upclose (before and after) and if you really know where to look, you'll see tell-all signs... Prince had none of those... and besides, even if he did - does it really matter? The guy is almost 46 years old and aging is part of life's process. Wrinkles ain't a bad thing - it's his music that matters... that's what counts... mad

Let's put this thread to bed

if you're trying to be a smartass, the gene is carried on the mother's side.

You need to do a bit more research on the subject of pattern baldness.

The "the baldness gene is carried by the mother" theory is nothing more than a myth.

In actuality, medical studies over recent years show the hair loss gene does not get passed down only from the mother, nor does it 'skip a generation' (another myth).

Research also is beginning to indicate there isn't even merely just *one* single hair loss gene, but instead that pattern baldness is likely due to the interaction of *several* genes inherited from BOTH parents.

If Prince is going bald he could have inherited that trait from either his mother OR father.

Whether or not Prince is balding I have no clue.

Furthermore, who cares.

Leave Prince alone? Awww. Is him sad? sad

Let Prince be? I'm not messing with Prince. I'm messing with folks' inability to let him be bald. He's not far off from 50, but folks want him to still be the "mushroomed" cat in the suspenders and shorts...

Let Prince be bald, y'all! Let him be human enough to have invested in a wig or two, fer cryin' out loud! If he's cool with it, y'all oughtta be.

But, "Leave the guy alone?" Oh come on -- this is the Org!

Do some homework before you type something like this.

That's an old wives tale... I suppose wearing a hat makes you bald too?

You inherit both of your parents genes, if your daddy's bald, 50% chance you will be too. If your mother has weak nerve endings in her scalp, add another 50% to your chance of being bald.

I don't think Prince wears a wig, but he either had hair restoration surgery, is using Propecia, or Rogaine, or both.

But it's all good... he's got an image to uphold, more power to him for whatever method he uses to fight his baldness. I'm with ya P, I'm fighting my baldness too, so I know what I am talking about!

we all b smartass' allova sudden lol

lately i often see topics wher sompe people comment how prince wears a wig?
why do you think like that?
he always had great hair.
black people either have hair whole their life or they don't have it at all.
give some facts ,i think prince's hair is all natural.

This is why...

A little lesson in the logic-related circles of inclusion:

All folks who think Prince wears a wig and have posted here to that effect are not white. Some of us couldn't be more familiar with the natural states of "black" hair. None of that has anything to do with Prince's recent rooftop ruggery... lol

Baldness comes from the mother's genes IF!!! it's Male-Pattern Baldness. There are other types.
