Stimulants - does Prince use them? I don't mean any extreme or even mild mind-altering drugs like marijuana, for example...
but has Prince ever smoked? In 17 Days he mentions "All I got is 2 cigarettes and this broken heart of mine".... Does he drink coffee even? Just wondering...and are there any photos of him with a coffee or a cigarette (lit, preferably)? | |

Wasn't there some guy who claimed Prince was struggling with drugs in the 90's with that name change? The world is a comedy for those who think and a tragedy for those who feel.

Coffee...who knows...he seems more like a tea person, now doesn't he?  Tea can be a 'stimulant' also, btw.
Oh, and somehow i do not buy that a 45yr old guy can play world tours, performing night after night, often for 4-5-6+ hours without anything to keep him on his feet or at least keep his voice in check. I totally agree that he would need a little something, although smoking wouldn't work for all his energetic live athleticism...however, yes I believe he would need a little something to get through...especially voice-wise...tea sounds likely. I disagree with that.
My dad loves working, and he works super long hours, and he's 50. It's just a matter of being thin and in really good shape. The world is a comedy for those who think and a tragedy for those who feel.

I've heard that he takes Vitamin B12 injections before some of his concerts. I could be wrong though. | |

He does take B12 injections for ENERGY before concerts. Also, if you read DANCE MUSIC SEX ROMANCE by Per Nielson, Prince did drink wine a lot...one example of this is the recording of HOW COME U DON'T CALL ME ANYMORE? He got a little tipsy before recording the song, listen to the song..his little mumbling during the song can be used as proof. BLUE TUESDAY refers to a time where he experimented with ECSTACY and had a bad trip(read about it). From this "experience" he decided to pull THE BLACK ALBUM and started working on LOVESEXY just a few days/week afterwards. In the beginning of his career, he always hated when his first manager, Husney use to bring GIRLS and WEED to the studio. Prince would say "You don't need that" and not want either of that stuff around when he was in the studio. I'm sure he has experimented, but don't think he ever had an ADDICTION to ONE thing for too long....but I doubt anyone knows for sure...just Prince.
