Give "art" some to "sink in" then give your "honest" opinion. I think Reflection is beautiful. And I agree it reminds me of "Circle of Amour" but wasn't that era like years ago! My question is "Is the glass half empty, or half full?".....

Studio
Live The song really doesn't appeal to me like his other stuff does, but the Studio version is definitely much better.

I think it will work superbly as part of an album (Has it been confirmed yet that it's gonna be on the new album?). It sounds like it ought to be a closing track - something to leave you pondering the future whilst reminiscing about the past.
I'll give it 4 out of 5, easily. Maybe more if it complements other tracks on an album.

Eye don't like 2 rate things on a scale of 1 2 5, so...Eye would give the studio version of "Reflection" about 90/100, and the live 1 87/100. Both Versions will b on my stereo 4 years and years 2 come. Yeah, the vibe reminds me of "Circle of Amour," and perhaps, Eye will like it better than "Circle" someday

Opinions matter about as much as a bug crawling around outside, but here goes. Id say reflection is the gear shift for new prince. The Truth was a lil hard and kinda angry unlying under all of the production. Reflection sort of is smooth and relaxed like hes realizing that everything he makes doesnt have to be produced with all this crazy stuff goin on around it. To me this is more like his real personal/facade-less self singing about himself. I think its fantastic, its "real" i give it a 4/5. I was a lil disapointed in the in the live version, simply because i think the percussion was a huge part of the song, as much as it sort of blends in the background. The lil run wendy did near the end of the song is the jem of this performance. Live 3/5 Disclaimer: All sentences resembling insults alive or otherwise, are purely coincedental.

It's not too bad, but then again no masterpiece; I'll rate it 2,5 outta 5 and there it is

really liked it. guess eye'll give it a 5. When fist heard it on Tavis Smiley, immediatley picked up my guitar and learned it. learned a lot of song like that, but not that quickly... all can do, is just offer U my love...

All these 'eye's are freaking me out.
I've actually only heard the live version i think, on the TS show. Lyrics were good, but musically it didn't grab me really. I didn't think it was particularly Joni, either: just a pretty acoustic strum with nice words. So a 3. But this'll no doubt change after countless re-listens.

I just find it sad that people feel the need to make personal attacks against me cuz I insult Prince. "You need people like me so you can point your fuckin' fingers and say, "That's the bad guy." "

It sounds better if you're not actually watching Prince & Wendy play. I'm listening to an mp3 of it, now. I think that the sight of Prince & Wendy together sort of detracts from the actual music.

LOL, I totally agree! I just watched the performance 10 times in a row, and the last time I didn't watch but just listened and it hit me harder than when I was looking at the screen. Beautiful rendition of a beautiful song! RIP Prince: thank U 4 a funky Time...
