Just got this email from NPGMC:

High

Members are invited 2 attend a special Press Conference Prince will be
holding on Tuesday, February 24th at 10:30AM at the El Ray club. As
Prince makes some major announcements 2 the press, he wanted 2 have some
of his closest friends in the house with him.

If u will be in the LA Area on Tuesday and can DEFINITELY be at this
event at 10:30AM, please reserve ur spot in the BACKSTAGE PASS room
ticket window starting Friday at 5pm PT. There is no charge, just a
reservation. Once u secure ur spot, u will b put on the guest list, please
bring a photo ID. Reservation limit 2 per member.

Man, you LA/Cali members are lucky s lately with all that's been going on out there....

I can't wait to hear exactly what these "major announcements" consist of.

I'll miss the Staples show too, because it's at the start of my Europe trip. I can't complain too much, I guess. But if He includes "a couple of great girls" at the concert or afterparty, I'm gonna be realllly sad.

I think the name of the venue for the Press conference is slightly incorrect.I never heard of an El Ray Club here in L.A. I think they meant the El Rey Theatre on Wilshire Blvd.Here's the address & phone # if people want to inquire:

I just called the The El Rey & got a verbal confirmation that the Press Conference will definitely be there.Hope to see my fellow Bumpsquad members..

What is going to happen?

The Press Conference is to officially announce the new album, tour, and signing with.....J Records.

Hope this doesn't spoil the surprise for anyone.

I'll tell ya, despite the fact that "WB" ain't been on a Prince album for 5+ years, It's sure as hell gonna be weird seeing the J Records Logo on all o' Prince's upcoming albums for a while.

I sure wish he'd gone back to WB, I miss their logo on his album; it reminds me of the good old days and the joy of buying a new Prince album that you've never heard before. I thought it was even better when I didn't know what album I was buying (like when I bought Batman - I just saw Prince, picked it up and paid for it )

It took several tries but I got through.Keep trying Jestyr & nessone.
