Sample from P song in Black-Eyed Peas Shut Up There's a sample in the Black-Eyed Peas "Shut Up" which I swear I've also heard sampled on a Prince track, but I can't place it...it's at 1:50 and the line is:
"So why has it got to be so damn tough?" Who can help me out with song and title and also which Prince song it's on? "These are the days... these are the days..."

Yeah, I didn't say it was Prince, just that the same sample was used in a Prince song - I remember he sampled Tennesee - I can't think of the track though... Thanks for the Arrested Development tip - it was driving me crazy not knowing  "These are the days... these are the days..."

What an idiot I am!
It was Arrested Development that sampled Prince's "tennesee" line from Alphabet St. in their song in 1992! Which leaves the original question: which Prince song shares the sample used in Shut Up??  "These are the days... these are the days..."
