This still doesn't rule out my theory of live studio or unplugged style versions of prince classics! maybe mixed with some new material - recorded in a rehearsal type environment over the course of a few days. I think this would be nice, maybe a few acoustic versions similar to the celebration acoustic set. Show off his pure musicianship!

Since some of the concert venues are advertising free cd with purchase, it might be true.

They haven't been giving any dates lately, so if they said a date this time it could happen.

It looks like Prince has been listening to his asskissers over at the NPGMC; there were numerous threads and polls for a "Crystall Ball 2" and it looks like he's giving us one. Well, new music is good music, and unreleased music I've heard in better quality is better unreleased music.

Hey, whatever. If he plans on touring and making regular TV appearances, I say let him do his thing. I've just been so happy to see him doing his thing lately that I forget there's not a new album out.

with this "free latest Prince CD" mention with a purchase of a concert ticket to the latest tour at Penn State University ... I think it could be either The Rainbow Children, NEWS or Rave Un2 The Joy Fantastic.

But it better be not the greatest hits compilation that Warner Bros. recently released. That is just not right.

It would be awesome though for it to be Musicology.

It does make sense for the album to be a combination of multiple era's.. hence the name Musicology.
