"Musicology" could live up to its name if it were a box set w/ one disc of the standard yadda yadda yadda classics w/ a couplathree new tracks; a second disc of selected b-sides and extended versions; and a third disc of vault goodies.

I wouldn't mind owning my umpteenth disc with 1999 on it, if it were part of something that would TRULY take me to music school.

I'm not sold that it's a greatest hits set, though...wishful thinking if nuthin' else...

Word, yo. I think we'd all be pleased with a Prince box set. It could be twice as bigger and better than The Cure's latest box set.

I like the idea of a comprehensive box set, but not at the moment! I think Prince needs to release a 1 or 2 disk set to the masses - if he goes back to a major he'll need a hit record, and a multi-disk set is not want the general public want from Prince (emanacipation/CB/ONA live). I think a remastered set of "classics" (not nessecarily hits!) plus some new songs would be the right move. Maybe a disk of classics and a disk of new material would be great!
