Penn St. concert: New album free with purchase of ticket

According to this press release -- http://www.prince.org/msg/12/80920 -- a copy of Prince's "new album" will be given out to everyone who buys a ticket to the show.

Is this a good thing? Does it mean that the album is a greatest hits set like the tour? Does it suggest that a "major label" release for the CD is unlikely?

Any thoughts?
