will prince play his greatest hits on all of his future tours

or will there ever be a show of 90% new stuff confused ...just is no fun to hear music that you have already played a thousand times and then come to the concert and hear it 1001 times....hope he will sign a good record deal and come out with some new stuff ...i dont care what it is as long as there is words.... biggrin

Not only that. Tonight i've decided don't like The NPG performing Revolution songs that much either. confused

Musically he might be superior now, but that's not what i'm getting at. It's hard to explain sigh

err,i thought the whole point of THIS tour was that he is playing his HITS 4 the last time.
still hope he doesnt stop playing old stuff like the Ride,Shhh etc....

He's said before that he was gonna retire his HITS - but didn't. At the end of the day, these are his most successful 'babies' so why shouldn't he play them if he feels like it? And as we all know, less hardcore fans go to concerts expecting the big hits - of any band or performer.

As a hardcore fan, of course I'm selfish and would prefer to hear rarer tracks and new material. That's what aftershows should really be about - I don't know why he wants to play 'Purple Rain' at an aftershow... I guess he justs loves playing this stuff...

Of course he'll play his hits again. And i'll eat my own anus if i'm wrong.

He's always threatening to retire them. And even if he concentrates on new stuff, he always throws in a couple of oldies (nearly always Take me with U and Raspberry Beret).
