Sunday Morning...where's the damn SF show reviews?

Lay it on me people. I couldn't afford to go even if I could had been able to get tickets. I'm dying to hear how it went.

Now I'm off to watch people get married at San Francisco City Hall!...but I'll be back.

To me it looks like he has decided to take the old Paisley Park shows on the road and instead of playing for free or $7 he now charges $100.

Well, I couldn't give a review cuz I waiting out there for 18 hours...so I'm tired. It went by fast, alot of drama with the line, BayNpg/ Fillmore/ "civillian" (props to the girl wo coined that term) conflicts. ALot of bickering. Even if someone was tenth in line it wasn't close enough...i dig, understand (i was first so it was hard for me to really trip either way).

That set list up there...pretty accurate but not in that order at all...I'm gonna give my best to remember, lets see.

maceo, Candy, Greg Boyer Npg opening number
Shh
DMSR
Musicology
Dmsr interlude
Controversy...

oh I can't remember...but I know it opened like that, the funk had me drunk & dizzy.
The band wore black & red, and Prince was super loose...and was smiling like a mother. Alot of funk guitar stuff, slipping into old soul covers for about 4 bars then switching up on cues. Alot of jamming. I went on record on a post about the grammy performance saying I thought Prince's voice was a little strained and maybe suffering from years of abuse (well not abuse, but not technically correct-whatever that means). He seemed to be playing it safe, I hope he's okay....Best Prince show I've ever seen (seen him about 10-15 times). I take that back- maybe not the "best" but very unique...ahh fuck it it was the best.
