Ok.. I read the FAQ on the org... but I was wondering if anyone knows of a full site of more locations from the Purple Rain movie,because I am going to minnesota and wanted to check them out...IF you have gone there please give us details to where we can find these places!

I think there's a "First Avenue" somewhere between "Zero Avenue" and "Second Avenue", but im not too sure

The Kid's House: Prince continued destroying the house with his baseball bat from the movie, but that got edited out.
Appolliana jumping into the lake: The lake dried up.
The Bridge: The bridge got torn down. (But not from Prince's bat.)
The Train tracks: The tracks are in L.A.

I have been to Minneapolis in 1992 - ok, its a long time ago. We have visited the 1st avenue - it was worth it, these days there have still been concerts every day, we saw two concerts of local groups. we learned to know a bar-tender who told us, that he has allready been at 1st avenue when p was performing ther often - and a lot of the scenes from the motion picture have been made there. the bar-tender also told us, that many scenes have been filmed in LA but also in Mn. we also went to the Glam-Slam-Club - i think it is closed nowadays.

we have been to paisly park, chanhassen, but we were only allowed to enter the lobby (where we could see - i think some copies - of the oscar and the grammys)

Then there was this little record store, where i bought my first "uptown"-magazing and other great prince related stuff - but i can't remember, where exactly it was.

we found minneapolies a very polite city, but we have been there in november, so you might know, that it could be very cold up there (especially as we where heading to New Orleans afterwards ...)

For sure you should have a car, because Chanhassen is a while outside!

Well, the hotel across the street from First ave is still there but it is run down and unoccupied now...below it sits a bar.

U can see on the left side a old theater when he goes off while ridig the motorcycle by First Ave, but now it is a big mall, which actually has a lil Prince display of clothes, videos and records (and personal letter, and a song called "Maybe" in there..
