Where Would I Be Without Prince In My Life

IF I had not embraced Prince and his music in 83-84 , what would have changed in my life?

I am a Stones fan, as many are, but not much released since 80s, no exciting live performance (in comparison to Prince). Is there a Stones.org, don't know , dont care

Maybe I would have embraced a second rate funker like Lenny Kravitz

Maybe I would have discovered Stevie Wonder earlier and picked up all his records (actually , that would have been cool)

Maybe suffered no ridicule for being a P fan. No ridiculous Prince tax thrown into the pot when Prince song played at Poker games with friends.

Maybe I could have proclaimed myself a huge REM fan (I do enjoy their 80s output), and really found out how a band can plummet, sure Prince aint Top 40, but his music is still very legit.

ah well so many maybes... I am suffering a lonely Valentines Day here on a cold Canadian day

Without Prince, I would have kidnapped and murdered many children before carving up their bodies to make chilli for my cult members and myself.

Without Prince, I would have persued a daily ritual of burning my testicles with a soldering iron, and pouring salt into my eyes.

Without Prince I would have continued my sick sexual behavior of shoving hermit crabs up my ass while dancing to old Iggy Pop records.

Thanks Prince for making me A-OK thumbs up!

The most important thing is YOUR DEEP SELF. If Prince gives you emotions you did not found in anybody else (even a (girl/boy)friend, don't worry, be happy! You know what love is. One day your prince(ess) will come.
Peace.

Is life even worth living if there was no genius like my hero? I can't imagine that.

funny guys but let me be serious here. Without Prince and Purple Rain I really don't know where I'd be. It's not like he's a messiah or anything. It's just that at a crucial point in my youth where I could have gotten more involved in other things like school or sports, I got into music and I'm still doing it. Without that spark from Prince I often wonder If i would have taken up music as an trade. I feel lucky, and I think all of you do to. We could have grown up in a time of no talents like now. Instead we got one of the greatest musicians ever to look up to for whatever maturation period we needed that. Music has dragged me through hell and continues to do so, but there is a place inside where it has been more rewarding for me than any other path I could have chosen. I've said it before and I'll say it again, thanks Prince.

Without Prince, my life would basically be about the same, but it would have a bit less color and pizazz. Plus, I would not have as much an appreciation for the power of Art that I do now. He's definitely the artist who has influenced me the most in my outlook on anything remotedly artistic or creative.

His music has defintely brightened many of my darker days, and I'll always be appreciative of that. Even though he now isn't producing much music that I like much, I'll always be a lifelong fan and always love the guy, just based on everything he has given me in the past.
