Romance 1600 Question

Okay, off the Wendy/Prince topic for a few moments (although that "song" idea is pretty cool). Anyway, we all know about Prince's appearance in A Love Bizarre. However, does he sing in any other parts of that album?

He's way back in the mix on a few songs.

"Yellow" is practically a duet with Prince doing the background vox. "Toy Box" he also does background moans and plays funk guitar. He also does some great adlibs on the fade out of "Boy's Club" on the Sheila E. (1987) lp.

And remember he wrote everything on the LP other than Merci for the speed of a Mad Clown in Summer (despite what some fans might tell you).

HAH! I knew it, I always thought he was in these songs. Thanks for the information. I could have sworn it was him doing background on Yellow and doingthat whoah, oah, oooh, part in "Toy Box".

Yup it's true. Prince wrote all the songs on the album apart
from 'Merci For The Speed Of A Mad Clown In Summer'. So you
can be pretty sure that it's Prince playing almost all the
instruments and doing background vocals on most of the tracks.
Sheila's band did little more than sing backup on a most of
the tracks.

When you add The Time, Sheila, Madhouse Vanity 6 etc. albums as part of Prince's 80s discography, you can pretty much figure out why is he called a 'genius'...
Personally . I think we are all Boring with No Lives cause all we do is talk about Prince,Criticize and Gossip. I need a Horny Man is what I Need and probably so do most of yas. We are Sexually Frustrated what we R... Amen..!!! - zelaire

You can hear his vocals pretty good on "Dear Michaelangelo" also.

I've always considered "A Love Bizarre" to be a Prince song with Sheila E. on background vocals (like "Erotic City").He totally dominates that song! It's funny watching the video and seeing Sheila get on the floor, mouthing the "do be doo be doo" part that is obviously Prince smile
