Too many great albums to pick 3. Maybe three worst would be easier.

I'm leaving out SOTT because that's just too easy smile

1. The Gold Experience

Gave you faith all over again back in '95 that the second coming was gonna happen. But didn't. No worries anyway because the video for Gold made up for it; and the song itself! Man! Great lyrics, amazing riffs and a rip-roaring guitar solo to boot - how cool did it feel watching the man tear it up on the yellow stage, glitter falling everywhere with the big bad symbol in the background? And speaking of guitar solos, what about Endorphinmachine? Not to mention the incredible Dolphin, Shy and drum intro to Shhh. We March was original and lots of fun, 319 kick-in-the-ass boldness and P Control jaw-droppingly daring and catchy! We also had the Versace Experience (with live performance) + TMBGITW climbing the charts. Doesn't really get much better than this.

2. Emancipation

Yeah it could have been trimmed down to 1 fantastic CD. Sure it might have been a little overproduced and syrupy in places - but did we really want it any other way? Could we have done without In This Bed Eye Scream (one of his top 3 songs of the decade), The Holy River (simply amazing), and Sleep Around (a song you can never get tired of listening or dancing to). Prince finally embraced the concept of "covering" songs on a record - we had Joan Osbourne's the incredible One of Us which I think the Man bettered with his version, the Sylistics' Betcha by Golly Wow!, and new life breathed into La, La, La, and I Can't Make U Love Me. How cool was Right Back Here In My Arms? And how touching was Prince and Mayte's unborn baby's heartbeat in Sex In The Summer, another great tune? Joint 2 Joint had an unparalleled humour we hadn't heard in a while and The Human Body was an exciting foray into a new genre for Prince. Sure there was some crud (Da Da Da, Curious Child) but all the other brilliant tunes more than made up for it: My Computer, Emancipation, Face Down, Damned If Eye Do and Get Yo Groove On. I won't even mention the brilliant Courtin' Time or White mansion. Too much music? Nah.

3. Lovesymbol

The Morning Papers.
Possibly the best "ballad-ooh-listen-to-the-rock-climax" tune Prince has ever done. Breath taking.
My Name Is Prince. I Wanna Melt With U. Love 2 The 9s. The Continential.
Mind blowing tunes full of funky, pelvis-pumping originality and sex-grindiness you'll ever hear.
The Max. Blue Light.
Tell me where the party's at! But I might break your back! Easily listenable, infinitely repeatable. Also Prince does reggae! Wooo!
Sexy M.F. & Damn U.
Supercool.

Realy each piece is of it's own, so as soon as u start 2 pick 3 Experiences ur leaving out one.

Listening carefully...,

"For You"- Hence the begining, 2 do what he did at that age speaks volumes. The tittle track, from the first breath of 'For You' the harmonies, the arrangments.Oh and thats all him.
The simplicity of 'Crazy you'.

"Sign'O'The Times"- 'ADORE', 'Ballad of Dorothy Parker ', 'Forever in My Life' ,'Cross' ,'Housequake' ,
'If I Was Your Girlfriend ',''Slow Love','Strange Relationship' ,' It ','Sign 'O' the Times ',I could go on but u get the point. All of these pieces on one Experience.

"Parade"-He makes it clear he is not into being a follower; this is evident with the opening track: Christopher Tracy's Parade. Filled with masterful lyrics and rhythmic and melodic riffs ahead of its time. Most of the music on Parade is music no one has dared to venture.Who could top avante garde "Christopher Tracy's Parade" to "Life Can Be So Nice" to the classical "Venus DeMilo", followed by the ultra funky "Kiss" in the same album? 'New Postion' was another song that really brings out this album with Sheila E. singing and playing the drums with him. 'I Wonder U' is a Lisa and Windy composition that is truly bold with laid back rhythms and the lyrics are so rich. 'Sometimes It Snows In April','Anotherloverholenyohead '
"Guitars and drums on the one"

All that being said now u have "Lovesexy", "Around the World in a Day", " One Nite Alone Live ","One Nite Alone Solo Piano","1999"we could b here 4 awhile.
