THE BATS SCENE IN UTCM -Please Explain.... OK, remember, Christopher and Tricky in the cafe...then...they look up and see a bat and scream and run out of the place taking everyone with them!!
WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT ABOUT? 
You know I met Jermone once and forgot to ask him that one... Do you think that was Prince's film ad-libbing, an idea on the fly? Was it in the script? Can anyone shed any light on this quirky little moment? I sure was funny and whacky 
Even weirder than he ended up penning the Batman  soundtrack..

The bats helped create a diversion so that Chris and Tricky could escape the henchman who were following them...So I would think...Aloha~ | |

I can't explain it - but I remember watching it recently and wondering exactly the same - and also thinking he must have thought of that on the spur of the moment. I'd think it was a filmic ad lib. (BTW Oct 3rd soundcheck - Prince picked up the bass and your wish came true) ALT+PLS+RTN: Pure as a pane of ice. It's a gift. |

They were having a cheesy discussion about lovey dovey crap and then they were chased out of the restaurant by bats.
CLEARLY this is a prophetic secret message to fans, apologizing in advance for the inclusion of "Arms of Orion" to the Batman soundtrack three years later. See, Prince was such a visionary he was apologizing for crappy songs before he even recorded em. | |

It was in the script. He just said he wasn't scared of shit! Being all macho, then looks up and sees the bats. They run outta the screaming like little girls. It was a joke, get it, ha ha. And how much should we charge 4 that?
If u would prefer it we could just not do this at all. NPGMC, money well spent! Common sense WILL get moderated with extreme prejudice! | |
