Today at the mall, FYE employees were talking about the Grammy performance and Prince was the main topic, how brilliant he is as an artist and he's so creative...so I being a huge fan decided to put my 2cents in and join the convo.
They didnt seem to mind, so we started talking about the Purple Rain Film and Soundtrack and how a big deal it was in 1984, but also the fact that he's back for a 20th anniversary celebration.

The Manager mentioned that she heard from an associate of hers in the music industry that Prince was planning on re-releasing Purple Rain The Soundtrack with some bonus stuff...plus it would be remastered (all that good stuff).

She also mentioned that Prince is recording a duet with Beyonce in L.A. and either she's a die hard fan or just got it like that on the scoop(s)...but she mentioned that Prince would be finally releasing some music he recorded with the revolution as a bonus...along with some new material with Wendy & Lisa and an TV Concert Special.

All I could gather was that Prince will be back in the stores and on MTV...soon!

it sounds like that person just heard the same rumours we've heard for the past year. and maybe this person knows about the tavis smiley thing, with p and wendy. i mean, i ain't doggin' nobody but just because you work in a wrecka stow don't mean you have 'associates' in the music biz.
