Just found a piece of video of a JB-concert where Michael Jackson and Prince were asked on stage (in 1983). They did! Michael sung something, Prince took his jacket and shirt off and did a scream. WTF was that! The recording was lousy but the energy on my pc was huge.

You people must already know about this. Do you have more info? Just got a few minutes.

It was a fun clip, yet slightly emabarrassing at the same time.

I still liked it though, because that was my "era" of being a Prince fan. Brought back alot of fun concert memories from when I was a kid...

Personally, I think he was actually high. I think he snorted some coke or something. Prince tried to portray himself as somebody that wasn't on drugs and would fire anyone that was on them, but I can't see you having a girlfriend(s) and other people around you with that stuff and not try it. He was probably nervous and nothing could calm him down but that. I liked the lollipop thing he did at the 95 AMAs. I thought that was funny and cute. One of his moments he could have left alone to me was on David Letterman when he finished singing Dolphin and had that big N**ga come from out of nowhere and carry him of the stage, supposedly staging his death. It was corny and he could have left that alone.

Yes, Prince made a bit of a fool of himself that night. MJ was actually cool and got up there and sang a bit, but then Prince went up there and started stripping his shirt off and trying to steal the show. It was a JB concert, not a Prince concert.

Then he knocked that prop lamp post over...lol...omg...what a clusterfuck that was...

Wow, where do you guys get this stuff, I collect as much as I can but the things you guys get are rare. Anyway, I've read and heard of the event here and I might have even saw a piece of it one time. James Brown says in his book that Prince wasn't that into his thing at the time and didn't even come out on stage. Probably his way of avoiding the incident. Just goes to show how great Prince is, there was a time when he couldn't dance at all, he started his career doing no more than imitating mick jagger and through hard work he became one of the best in a very short time. Michael had been doing these things for years and Prince played catchup in the course of a year or two, very, very impressive and a testimonial to Prince's great discipline.
