i would looove to see him add wendy to the npg to take that spot, because she really holds her own on the guitar... that sad, i do not necessarily want to see him reform the revolution... the current npg is a much better live band, and i really don't wanna see him mess up the great thing he's got going on with those musicians right now... can you imagine wendy chicken scratching on the guitar in the npg, while prince is at rhodes crankin out some "strange relationship"... ... that would be mighty sweet... Well, I for one think this is WONDERFUL news!!!
Regarding the comments that "this ain't 1984!" or that Prince and Wendy getting together again is a step backwards for Prince's career, well I don't understand the contention that professional or personal chemistry/magic between two people can only be felt, experienced or produced once and once only in a lifetime, or that that magic can only take one specific form, vs. growing or evolving into something new yet something still just as magical. Prince and Wendy have both grown and matured in the years since they worked together, both as musicians and as people. There is NO REASON to assume that whatever music they might create together NOW (if that happens) will sound similiar to their 80s output. I think the chemistry they have as musicians - and friends -is a really beautiful and rare thing and I'm very glad they might have the opportunity to once again experience that with each other, not to mention share with all of us the result.

I'm very happy with this but I'm afraid that any new stuff is deamed to fail because of the high expectations of the fams. I think they could have chemistry. Just hope that no ego's are involved here. Ich bin bei der Neue Kraft Bewegung
