p comes to the bay area a lot because everyone shows love. not that the people in your cities don't, but he is still tight with sheila e. he usually speaks with her when he is looking for new talent. he has gotten quite a few band members from sf region over the years. if he is recording an album in california, it only makes sense to stay fairly local.

It used to be a lot more laid back and cool back in the day. Of course there were always a couple of people hero-worshipping, but for the most part it was chill.

It makes sense because I would be a little weirded out about having parties if a bunch of nuts trying to dress like me and wearing images of me all over their bodies showed up.

At least when he plays elsewhere he can charge the fams $100 to worship him.
