Hi There, like U I 2 have been looking 4 a Tortoise Telecaster Pickguard like on Prince's Hohner. My Hohner Prinz is an incredible guitar but the only thing letting it down besides the player is the Pickguard.
Try Stringpull.com, they do them but expect to pay mega bucks for it (I'm currently trying to source one elsewhere) If you search Tor-tise faux pickguards U should Find! Anyone else know where they can be found please post.

Phil-
Thanks for your help! I didn't realize it was tort. shell. I thought it was more like Lepoard print or something. Ebay has some tort. shell ones for sale. I'll have to go take another look at them. By the way, www.stringpull.com doesn't work. Is there a dash in there or something? Thanks again! LMP

You'll prob find that they're not the same, Prince's pickguard is transparent in the light area's to show the wood behind
similar material was used on vintage MARTIN acoustics I've purchased a tortoise pickguard from my local music shop but it's nothing like Prince's

Try grevenguitars.com/tortis.htm, looks like stringpull has shut down.

Hi Guys,
I buy my leopard & tortoise material from these people in the US. The leopard pattern they sell is exactly the same as the stuff used on Prince's early Hohners. Hope this helps! Scotty http://www.lmii.com/CartT...d+Material
