Prince ' on verge 2 signing with a major 'part2 THE ARTIST FORMERLY KNOWN AS LABEL-LESS: Prince is back and
looking for a new label home. The superstar, who received raves for his Purple Rain duet with Beyonce on the Grammys and then his midnight concert at L.A.'s House of Blues after the Awards ceremony, has been talking to a number of record companies after several years as an indie. The Purple One, inked last year to Universal Music Publishing, will be inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame on March 15 in New York. His long-time attorney, Londell McMillan, will handle the negotiations, with Clive Davis' J/RCA and Bruce Lundvall's Blue Note the early front-runners to get the Symbol's signature on the dotted line. |
