MTV.com on The Grammys & Prince

http://www.mtv.com/news/a...lines=true

"And then there was Prince. Prince opened the show because, even though his current music gets very little airplay, he remains a major, and highly influential, American artist. He's a flawlessly stylish performer and, as perhaps you noticed, a really ripping guitarist. Bringing Beyoncé on for a little mini-medley was a shrewd move, Grammy-wise — it added some up-to-the-minute heat. But Prince himself is a house afire whenever he steps onto a stage — no help needed, thanks — and we really must see more of him. Much more. Will somebody please do something about this?"

Hmmm - interesting little aside from MTV there!

Never thought I'd be hearing anything THAT positive from them again.

Thanx!

Hmmm...? MTV gave MJ a whopping 15 mins back in 1995, imagine what PRINCE could do with 15 mins!

Where can I get me some Jesus juice?

Peace, Love and God bless NippleGate!

yes and that 1995 Performance was ALL Lip Synced and even worse MJ had a "fake applause track & crowd screaming track" while he was performing.

MTV Reported on that at the end of the show.. they were in shock & said he didn't even need to do that because the crowd did aplaud at the end.

** I HOPE Mtv will listen to Kurt Loder!! I think he was hinted for have Prince play every year on their award shows & other award shows.. A Musican like him should always be on a Music Award Show.

I'd love to hear Prince on this year's MTV Music Awards and do "I could never take the place of your man"

Prince + Guitar Solos = The American Public, Media & Reviewers saying Prince is a Music God! wink

ALWAYS Play Guitar Prince smile

PRINCE IS a music God!
Agreed - more PRINCE on award shows, more GUITAR action!
If it is the year of PURPLE RAIN again, it should be WHEN DOVES CRY, THE BEAUTIFUL ONES and COMPUTER BLUE at the next show.

he was great, as always. prince doesn't just dance to the beat, he dances a half-beat ahead of it or something so he's never late. and he's looking good, despite the suitiform. . wink

ok i gotta say this. is it just me? or does beyonce sometimes go off tune. could be the sound system maybe. but the last note of that duet just sounded. . off somehow. then again, how would i know right? still. .

anyway you know the crew had sound problems during the show. there was that point where celine kept tapping on her mic thinking it was off then she finally gave up on her earphone monitor and pulled it out of her ear.

anyway.. . . back to our hero. being nominated for N.E.W.S. rocks. it sure felt great seeing him up there again huh?

is anyone else wishing he'd come out and play more often?
ok i am so what he said. will someone please DO something about this

lol
