He did post on the NPGMC one time for Beyonce' to drop the recorded keyboards (or something like that) and get a real band, maybe she's taking him up on it.

Yeah, and then he said she'd sound good with Ike Turner's band.

a duet with Sting playing bass would be more musically interesting..
+ Other highlights
• An 11-minute funk medley, the longest segment in Grammy history, has Earth, Wind & Fire, Outkast and George Clinton.

& no Prince?

Actually, it would be kinda cool to see Beyonce starting her performance, and then Prince comes in, steals the spotlight, suddenly the crowd goes wild, you know the drill... Prince gonna make her look like the amateur she really is.

Hope this isn't true. Having Prince do something with Sting would be interesting. Outkast would be cool too. But Beyonce is just nowhere in the same league. I was hoping for a "LIVE" killer performance piece from Prince, not some production spectacular.

I never much cared for Prince's production style numbers ( i.e. dancers and lip-syncing) on these shows either, when I know he could blow everyone away if he just played a raw set with some amazing guitar work. This would be the perfect opportunity to highlight his exceptional artistry to the world as well a remind people what a great musician can do.

But maybe he figures he can do that at the R&R Hall of Fame next month. Hope we'll be pleasantly surprised Sunday.

I don't know what to think of this, but I guess I'd rather not see them on the same stage.

artistically it may be crap and bollocks but if he's gonna get back in the spotlight then this'll get him LOTS of media attention , Jesus is it me or is Prince suddenly getting the publicity thing right, videos in the can for the Greatest Hits set, high profile appearances booked etc. Looks like when it comes to cashing in on the whole P. Rain thing hes taken some direction from somewhere. At last. Just hope that theres no preachin'!

oh come on! dont be so melodramatic!!! who's he selling out to?!

why are people complaining about beyonce so much? she was in destinys child who sold over 30million records and her own solo career is going great guns at the moment. shes a star and im not a fan of her but come on, we wondered why prince had somehow managed to get on the grammies when he's an indie artist and so on so forth, and suddenlyit turns out he's going to do a number with beyonce, is it that much of a surprise really?

The thing that seemed odd to me about this post on the NPGMC NEWZ section, was the way they said that she looked like a "young Tina Turner." This "NEWZ" was up on the club message board for a very long time.

Maybe Beyonce does have talent. But it made me wonder if the fact that she's "young" highlighted their interest. It's just a feeling, but it has occurred to me before that "youth" seems to hold a very high place in their lives.

why not? She's the hottest thing happening right now, and no, I'm not Beyonce fanatic, but honey would you rather him perform with Britney or (yuck) Xtina? Beyonce is more talented than the both of them put together...hooray for Prince...

although I was hoping for a Prince/Andre 3000 performance...oh well...
