My thoughts on the Grammys thread no. 2232 Although it wasn't all that musically exciting, there were some things I was verry pleased with about this performance.
It was nice to see him treated as a music legend after all those years of being treated as nothing but a joke by the media. There is something quite satisfying about seeing and hearing the Hohner being played to such a wide audience again. I always love the way those little afterthought guitar scribbles he does in songs like last nights purple rain are more impressive than some guitar players best efforts (and whatever else you may say about her, the legs on that woman!) Yeah I agree. Since he's been away from the public eye for so long its was more like a novelty surprise.
Wish he did a better song selection, made him seem like some relic from the past. | |
