What I heard today about Prince/Warner from and 'insider' According to a friend 'on the inside'...Prince still isn't to fond of Warner Brothers Records BUT..he is in good standing with Warner Strategic Marketing...This is the department of Warner Music that handles the development and marketing for Warner Bros Records BACK CATALOGE (Rhino is a part of this branch of the Warner tree) and is considering working with them for the re-issuing of albums...particularly PURPLE RAIN considering it's 20th Anniversary. But he is still shopping.
It's more than a rumor...It's pretty valid...I just have to be careful for my 'insider's' protection in case some WB peeps are 'peepin' and 'creepin' around here! Every minute of last night is on my face today.... | |
