I just gave you the link silly!
Go to "What's new" and scroll to January 18, 2004. Click on "All over you"

I think it will only be up for only a few more days.

Just took a listen, and I think the music IS rather Princely, but I'm really not alltogether sure that the male voice is actually Prince's.
And there's no musical variation to the song. It goes "All Over You" from start to finish. I'm not sure Prince would have written such an uneventful track at that point in his career.
So is it fake or is it Prince?

Whadda I know? I'm no expert. Where's Borisfishpaw? What does he have to say about this? biggrin

i think that boot is from an extremely infinished song, though. if you listen, its like they working out a chorus and using "da da da..." for the verses. maybe trying to work out melody and all. the whispering voice, to me, sounds like prince.

Look, not to sound up my own arse, but I can tell you as a musician with a very good ear who listens to and records music day and night...THAT IS NOT PRINCE ON VOCALS.

Prince IS on the song. he is not singing the "da da da da's"...that is Stevie with some members of the revolution --- Prince is the one who is whispering some of the words throughout the song. Maybe you should turn your stereo up a bit...it's in demo form so it may be hard to hear.

without a doubt, prince is clearly involved in this song. take a closer listen to the whisper. stevie has even mentioned passing out in prince's studio (from drugs, of course) during some recording. she wasn't referring to stand back, either.

Look, this demo has been floating around the net for a year or more.
Via binaries groups and many many Filesharing programs...

Prince's involvement seems very minimal at best.
As it does not contain any vocal landmarks by Prince.

MP3: Alleged Stevie Nicks...l Over You

Even the site: http://www.buckinghamnicks.net/ that is making it available for download states:
"Added Requests: the alleged Stevie and Prince demo All Over You; Gypsy and Come from Columbus 2003."

To me it does not matter if it is Prince on it or not.
I don't think it sounds all that great as is...

Thanks for posting it though... It's worth a listen. Just for speculation and curiosity sake... thumbs up!

I'm not sure it's him whispering either. Why have him whisper and some other dude sing everything else. You can't even hear shit of what the whispering is saying anyway. Frankly, it really sounds like the guy singing who is whispering, trying to sound like Prince.

Pfff... Wasn't the search function going to be reinstated this month??
This was confirmed as a fake years ago, it has no Prince involvement whatsoever...
And well the beat that's used in the song is no beat from 1983 or the whereabouts, the beat was first used by "Enigma" somewhere around 1994...

hmm My aural ESP tells me that this may have been a track that Stevie and Prince started. If the lines written in this thread are true.. the ones about her passing out in the studio (from drugs), it would explain why P left her high & dry. Sounds like Stevie and camp later set out to finish the track playing along with a few of the original guitar tracks. The guitar sounds Princely but
it ain't Prince CD

You're right. I think the Enigma song was Return to Innocence. This was the fist time I had heard that beat as well.

Please. I've done my research -I've been a Stevie Nicks fan for almost almost 20 years. SO someone labels it as "alleged" Prince and Stevie. Maybe it's NOT a duet. But gee...isn't Prince a producer as well-did you ever think maybe that was his role in this? Prince and Stevie got together in late 1982 while the Mirage tour (Fleetwood Mac) was in the area and collaborated on various tracks, Stand Back being one of them. ANd I know this because in a 1998 interview with Stevie, shementions Prince picked her up at her hotel and took her to his house and he drove so fast she was afraid he was going to get a speeding ticket. PERHAPS they collaborated on an unfinished track called ALL OVER YOU? They got back together in early 1983 to do more work on Stand Back. Stevie Nicks mentions in an interviewing done in the mid 90s that she passed out on his kitchen floor that night. WOuld you like me to do more research becuase I could write pages of info. on this. IN fact, if you want i'll find the interviews I've mentioned above and send them to you. THat is called RESEARCH!
