Oh boy here we go yall, hating on Beyonce. Why??? She's a talented, beautiful young lady "with class" not the other way around and they looked great togeather if you didn't think so it could be that maybe your jealous, and you probubly felt the same way about Mayte when he was with her. Just something to think about. I'm just a junky for the sound. | |

I actually liked Mayte. Beyonce is overexposed and boring and didn't really add much to the Grammy performance. But then, I like more to my musical performances than just someone "looking great together" | |

This was an exhibition of showmanship and Beyonce and Prince are very talented in their own ways! I'd rather see THIS performance than the JJ/Timberlake desperation at the Super Bowl! I'd rather see Prince collaberate with people like Beyonce than Sheena Easton, or Nona Gaye anytime! I think you're right: if Beyonce looked like Angie Stone, people wouldn't get so mean: when someone is the total package like hot Beyonce-the get weird,they can't handle it. She was great and had every bit of presence as Prince. | |

Why are Prince fans who don't worship and slobber uncontrollably over every single thing Prince does and/or person he works with (or they even *GASP!* hold either a neutral or negative opinion on something he does or someone he collaborates with) immediately labeled "mean", "jellus", or that they "can't handle it"? FYI, some people just don't consider Beyonce a great talent. Some don't even think she's "hot" (that IS a subjective thing, you know. She is certainly not ugly but some people don't consider her a "total package" like you do). Others, like me, think she's just a marginally talented, overly exposed, and not very interesting performer. Doesn't mean I "hate" her, or am "jellus" of her, or that I "can't handle it". She didn't exactly ruin Prince's performance but IMO she didn't add much of anything special or extraordinary to it either. Any attractive chick in skimpy clothes with some degree of vocal talent could've done what Beyonce did (although hopefully someone else would've done it minus the trite overly dramatic hand gestures and vocal gymnastics/theatrics and all the posing, prancing and preening...) I guess some Prince FAMATICS can't "handle it" when people don't fawn all over every aspect of something Prince does. | |
