Misheard/Misquoted Lyrics Just been reading some of the Hawaii reviews and saw some funnies.
What have you heard people sing? What lyrics have you got wrong. The two I saw were: Beautiful Winds - The Beautiful Ones Didn't Pay The Rent - Little Red Corvette In the distance a light shines and I know it is mine. Someday I will touch it because it calls me. I remember my dad used to get a few lyrics wrong... he thought Raspberry Beret was actually Raspberry Parade

I used to think the line in Raspberry beret was

This is what I was singing, which I STILL think is
a better line 4 the song: THIS ones 4 Yosemite Sam, and the TOURS THAT DIDN'T LAND Tours meaning the 'tours of duty' of wars...for the sake of our Uncle "Yosemite" Sam... Thanks for the laughs, arguments and overall enjoyment for the last umpteen years. It's time for me to retire from Prince.org and engage in the real world...lol. And I remember standing in line for Prince tickets at he Warfield theater in San Francisco years ago. The line was rapped around the block and the local homeless started begging. When this one old homeless lady found out what the long line was for, she decided to sing for us..."she wore a raspberry corvette..." It was so cute.
I still sing that line to this day. **************************************************
