Aye, dumbed down Prince, as it has to be for the curreent generation who have the attention span of a dyslexic iguana on speed ( don't vary the music too much or they'll forget its the same song ) and were introduced to music via the Sony Playstation. Don't feel bad milkshake, I was promised the album for Christmas so I held off and my friend just got around to getting it for me THIS WEEK TOO and I had the exact same reaction. It definitely lived up to all the hype for me. It has the same openess, honesty, humor, originality and funkiness as Prince. Some of my favorite lines: Roses really smell like boo-boo. Someday our children will have to go to a musuem to see a lady. I hope that you're the one, if not you are the prototype. Baby take off your cool, I want to get to know you. He also got me the DVD of all their videos. It was interesting to see their evolution. since I really never heard of them til Ms. Jackson and Hey Ya was the 1st thing to really turn my head. I have to reccomend getting that as well. As if I didn't have enough reason to be excited for the Grammys now I'm really 'bout it 'bout it!! When it comes to funk, i am junkie | |
