Prince Mentioned on Celebrity...Get me out of hear

Lord Brockett and John Lyden (Johnny Rotten) discussing the music Industry. Saying how it has shot itself in the foot. Then johnny Commenting on How Prince has shot himself in the foot but loves his music and the vast array of styles he does.

Johnny Rotten a Prince Fan? Yes!

You think? P appropriated a lot of the punk vibe during his Dirty Mind and Controversy eras.

Maybe, but lyrically Johnny R and P have nowt in common:

"God Save the Queen and Her Facist Regime"

"I wanna be your Lover"

What about "God Save the Queen..." and "Ronnie Talk to Russia?" A lot of his phrasing on Controversy (say, "Sexuality" & "Ronnie...") reminded me of punk.

Yes he did say how he enjoyed prince's music and how diverse Prince is.

I was watching the programme yesterday and wondering to myself what Jonny Rotten makes of Prince. Now I know.

'When Doves scream'. Prince's attempt at punk comes off a lot better than his attempts at rap.

Maybe he should give it Mr Rotten to do as a cover.
