What kind of track is Musicology?

If you had to compare it to something he's already done...

Is it radio friendly? A hit?

Prince performed this song on his concert at the House Of Blues in Las Vegas (last night). Read more about it here : http://www.princefams.com...?name=News
Also, in the New Power Radio, http://www.audiorealm.com...s%29%2Emp3 is a remix of this song available.

derek

People who have heard the studio version say it's average at best - but being one of the lucky few that have heard it live I think it's a great track.

Maybe Prince has reworked the track since our fellow orgers heard the original studio track?

Not to worry - if he performs it at the Grammy's it will go down a treat because it is damn FONKY live - Rhonda's killer bass line PUMPS!!!

I'll definitely be interested to hear it live...hearing the studio version, it didn't sound like a song that would be played live, so it MUST be a different arrangement, I would think.

And for the record, I wouldn't say I didn't like it..I did, quite a bit...but not, say, as much as I liked Madrid 2 Chicago or Silicon, to give you a reference point. (I LOVE both of those songs, but they're not gonna get him a hit on the radio.)

Co-sign.

It actually reminded me of "Get Wild" but better.

Like the live version which kisks arse. nod

I fear the recorded version is a bit dull like Get Wild on recoed too (from what I hear).

It rocks live though.
