I just listened to D+P for the first time in a long time... ...and I really like it. A very positive, uplifting album. I'd never realized how happy and positive he sounds - listen to the lyrics on Walk Don't Walk, Willing And Able, Thunder, Cream, Push - it seemed like an uplifting time for him.
If it was possible to remove Tony M's contributions, this could really be one of his most enjoyable albums. I'd forgotten how much I like tunes like Strollin', Willing And Able and Walk Don't Walk. Thunder is one of my all-time favorites, but I only ever remember that when I'm listening to it. What a killer opening track!!! Great stuff! I'm willing, and I'm editing [This message was edited Tue Feb 3 14:10:07 PST 2004 by booyah]

You know, "The Holy River" is a song that still has a mileage to it, in my opinion. It took a long time for me to warm up to it, but now that I have, I think it's one of his most interesting, best written songs in a long, long time - people tend to compare it to a Springsteen ballad, and I can totally see the similarity.
