Old Friends 4 Sale '91 Can anyone tell me whether or not there is a circulating unreleased version of Old Friends, with the newer lyrics (i.e. not the version on The Vault). I used to think there was but I haven't found anyone yet who has it so maybe I was mistaken. Any help would be appreciated as I love this song. | |

The version on The Vault IS the '91 one with newer lyrics.
There is an older version from '85 that has different lyrics if that's what you mean. | |

The 85 version has more personal lyrics which add to the body of the song, The vault version has lost that power a bit. |

I prefer the '85 versions (there are at least two that I know of) the rawer version that's tripped down (and brilliant I might add). The second version is the same track with Claire Fischer arrangements included, which is also nice in the lush Claire Fischer kind of way...
