"Young and Beautiful" Appreciation Thread Who else loves this song?? I believe it's truly gorgeous.
Beautiful intro, lovely melody, meaningful lyrics. This song is giving me a wonderful feeling in the pit of my stomach. (or it could be the Subway roasted chicken wrap I just ate, but I digress  )

count me in as one who appreciates young & beautiful. musically and lyrically, this is one of the strongest trax on one nite alone. but like the rest of that album, it's not immediately gripping. this is one CD i don't play every day, but i'm glad prince did it. like the truth, it's nice to know it will be there when i'm ready to appreciate it. The first time I heard this song I recoiled in disgust...I thought it sounded like something Elton John would put in a Disney movie or something...but it's weird...I dig it now. No confusion, no tears. No enemies, no fear. No sorrow, no pain. No ball, no chain.

Exactly!!! OdysseyMiles. Where were you 3 months ago when I got slaughtered for saying a similar thing??? IMO it is the grown up, politically correct version of "Sister". Trust me, line the 2 up back to back, it's hilarious! --------------------------------------------------
