The phrase is actually 'all that glisters is not gold' and is taken from Shakespeare's 'Merchant of Venice' In any case, you should not necessarily assume that Prince is (mis)quoting Shakespeare in 'Gold'. Ronnie was increasing the defense budget, drafting the proposals for Star Wars, and calling the USSR 'The Evil Empire.' Ronnie did talk to Russia, several times, most famously in Iceland for talks which ended when he left in mid-conversation when he didn't like the USSR's position. | |

Actually there WAS a draft requirement in 1982, thanks 2 Ronnie Reagan. If U didn't register 4 the draft at 18 years old, you wouldn't be able 2 get financial aid for college, or a passport.
