I don't even know what you're talking about.
Don't take a song lyric as the gospel truth of what someone believes - people talk shit, and even if it was something he believed at the time of writing, he might have changed his mind the next week, just like last week I liked Lasagne, and this week I like meatballs. I don't even know what these types of threads are for. "Prince said XXX 20 years ago, why does he not believe in the same things now". I agree with Romance1600. If Prince hated jazz back then, why would he be hangin' around with Miles Davis in 86-87 and recording jazzy stuff like "Old Friends For Sale"? P did a lot of jazzy stuff, even back in the 80's. I don't think the lyric about jazz was meant to be taken literally. | |
