DOWNLOAD MUSIC Where do you all trade, share, or P2P some Prince music to/with eachother?
The only sites i can find something on are WinMX & Kazaa. I'm trying to get more contact with people/fans to share music with.

...So are there new/other sites to share FREE our goodies with eachother, rather than to give bootleggers the chance to earn more on Prince's expenses..
That's one reason why these free sites are good for. Cause i know if Prince releases something "unreleased", everyone is going to buy it anyway, even if they have it in poor or less quality on some bootleg! At least i do so.

"London, i've adopted a name that has no pronounciation.... is that cool with you?"
"YEAH!!!" "Yeah, well then fuck those other fools!"

Kazaa is almost a frustrating waste of time now. I discovered a TON of hidden gems through Kazaa and Napster, (um, back in the day...) but with the invasive ad software, it's just not worth it to steal the stuff anymore. I'll crank it up if I'm really desperate, but I always end up regretting it, as some crappy ad re-sets my home page to some java-laden page that either kills my computer or causes disc drives to open, naked girls to pull donkeys across the screen, or worse, some ad for, uh, tool-enhancers.
Nowadays, I've gone legit with iTunes. But, unfortunately, iTunes pales in it's song availability. The beauty to free/illegal file sharing is that you can find obscure stuff that isn't even ON CD. I found "Peanut Butter" by Lenny White, I found "Livin it Up, Friday Night", I found 70's funk and punk and new wave that never made it to CD. The Last Otan Track: www.funkmusician.com/what.mp3

THAT's what makes searching for new and obscure released or unreleased music so interesting. It often happenes, that when i discover something new, i download it, listen to it, and then go my favourite wreckastow (shop ) to see what's available on CD or not... and then i (most of the time) buy it anyway. AND, i'm mostly please with the quality of bought CD's.

And i'm also a memeber of iTunes.
But that's ok for regular stuff... not for hard to find stuf.

But that's ok for regular stuff... not for hard to find stuf. Yeah. I'm waiting for iTunes to catch up. Or, hell, at least offer indie bands the opportunity to sell their songs online as well - how hard can it be to upload songs to create your own CD on iTunes? What's it take? Hey Otan. I have Peanut Butter on CD. It was on a compilation I bought last year.Nowadays, I've gone legit with iTunes. But, unfortunately, iTunes pales in it's song availability. Direct Connect.
Why bother anywhere else if you're looking for Prince stuff? Oh, and ABMP. [This message was edited Wed Jan 28 8:32:34 PST 2004 by Romance1600] ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

The file sharing that you are requesting is pretty illegal. The mods here have mentioned that this is not a subject they want discussed on thier site. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
Still it's nice to know, when our bodies wear out, we can get another -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
