The thing is Princ had a wholy different vision for both UTCM and GB...sadly he did not pause and fight for the vision in either.

UTCM would have had a more ethereal plane - left to Prince...which would have not worked.. As it stands, UTCM is a fine, funny film. Btetter than PR, but not as good as Gregory's Girl.

GB is a mess. Shot brilliantly on the sound stage, but lacking direction and sense. In my sleep I could have conjured up a more - and I'm gonna use a word here - cohesive film.

The script I have make Prince a subsidiary character and the music's development a "Time" thang...with THE KID overlooking...of course. It would have made a better film and would have taken P out of the STRANGE label he was attaining at the time. ... I think.

were the different versions of UTCM and GB or unedited?
