First Avenue Rehearsal 83 Yup, it's that time of the month for the monthly appreciation of The Avenue Rehearsal boot.
This month's award for sheer fucking hilarity goes to the guy doing his BAD opera impression. "Catch a falling star and put it in your pocket..." 
But, who is it??!! I know Dr. Fink is making the Popeye noise, so is it just a sound guy making me laugh till I piss?  whoever you are, thanks - you gave me a new party trick

Yeah - the show itself is on video, but the rehearsal, where the guy is singing is only on audio. Enjoy the show when you get it - pure class

I thought so too - but there is a part where the guy is singing, and Fink is doing his Popeye voice at the same time - so it kinda ruled my Fink theory out. | |

yeah that shit always cracks me up too...i'm gonna have to go listen again...i always thought it was Fink, but you're right i think the opera voice and the popeye voice overlap each other at some point...so maybe its Bobby Z goofing around maybe? man i love that rehearsal...great versions of those tunes.. I like that rehearsal version of Case Of You better than the actual performance version... ya know what...i think i'm gonna go dig that rehearsal out right now and crack up some more... thanks for bringing it up! | |

I'm sorry, I ment to say Prince tries to kill off the rest of his fan bass at the end by shutting down boot sites and pissing everyone off.

I just made a DVD of the Aug 3, 1983 show. It came out really nice. I posted samples on alt.binaries.multimedia.prince and I'm open to trades. I'll trade for blanks too if you don't have anything to trade. Every Prince fan should see this show...it is CLASSIC! | |
