I think this in reference to the singer who wanted to perform the song on Stars in their eyes. Making them shave their head before they could cover the song.

Seems rather strange that he should bother to care. Not that I for 1 minute believe what's printed in The Sun half the time. Sinead O' Conner 1ce claimed Prince wanted to 'beat the shit out of me' which again I have trouble believing.
