What DVD did you get? Wait you PAID Prince additional money for the same one I bought at Best Buy for a cheaper price? Front row tickets...For those who are lucky enough to have Prince come to your town and then have $150 and the ability and time to wait in line all day long. Shit loads of music...what 2 songs this year that you weren't able to "legally" download. | |

What a gross exaggeration. 1.) the 4 track NEWS hardly counts as a shitload of new music this past year. 2.) He didn't give you any of those concert benefits, people payed out the wazoo for them this past year. 3.) The tour only happened in Australia, HongKong, and Hawaii, so the other 90-something percent of the world didnt even get any concert perk (if thats what you even want to call it) | |

I'm gonna keep listening to his music too, and even though I completely disagree with what he's doing with the fan sites, I will buy new music from him if it looks like something I would want to hear.
Should it become necessary to renew NPGMC club dues at some point this year, I'll decide for myself whether it's an appropriate thing to do rather than feeling a need to respond to pressures on one side of the argument or the other. My issue isn't with the music. | |

I go back to the days of the old NPG club and the NewPowerSoul 800 line. I did get some neat trinkets and catalogues, but they were terribly slow in delivery and held my credit card number for nearly 2 years for the Crystal Ball set, which I eventually bought retail for the same price Prince offered.
Many of you may have great experiences with NPGMC, but I think that it is notoriously unreliable, slow to deliver, and makes promises on releases, concert perks, etc. it doesn't always keep. Y gamble with your money like that? I love P to death, but IMO he treats his customers very disrespectfully, and I don't like that. A successful business doesn't just serve some of its customers well sometimes. It serves all of its customers well on a regular basis. My reasons for not joining therefore have less to do with Prince's artistic direction than the fact that I don't trust Prince the entrepreneur. Good night, sweet Prince | 7 June 1958 - 21 April 2016
