Vault Gems and Stones... Why does everyone seem so hunger for them?  Not a day goes by without me seeing someone on the ORG mention "The VAULT SONGS!!" or "In Prince's VAULT he has the GREATEST SONGS EVER!!" or "VAULT VAULT VAULT!!" 
What is the big hurrah? And why does it seem like there is such a hurry for them to be released?

Because songs like "Wonderful Ass", "In All My Dreams", "In A Large Room With No Light", and "Neon Telephone" are better than anything he's released in the last 10 years. | |

Uhm. have you heard them?
There are very very few stones in amongst the vaulted material. The vault is almost as consistant in cool tracks as his regular album releases. If anything, the vault contains a lot more weird and abstract material that I would have loved to hear a little more of over the years. I know that I'll be glad whenever and wherever and whatever he'll release out of the vault. Not instead of new material, but alongside new songs. Both! in other words: greed and true love lives on lollipops and crisps | |
