The Vault (the book) - is it threatened???

In the light of the G2P shenanigans, is The Vault in jeopardy?

I hope not.

shouldn't be, because uptown made an agreement with p and co. on their initial lawsuit that they can't talk about bootleggage.

I thought it was going to be about unreleased stuff and that.
Do they have to pretend they've never heard it?!!

they approved of dow and tiu 2.0....don't see why they'd not approve of this. all the vault is is an amalgam of the two books, from what i understand.

However, it wouldnt be the 1st time he's changed his mind.

In my eyes - the bigger picture is that HIS view is 2 shut down all sites about him that do not 'toe the line' (anyone remember the love 4 one another collective'? PAH! I have no sympathy 4 them - even I could see back then what he was gonna do, and they fell 4 it hook, line, and sinker.

He'll try and close all the sites he can so that the ONLY place people wil be able 2 (and I use the term LIGHTLY!) 'get it from the horses mouth' will be HIS site.

But as we all know, princes site is about as much use as a chocolate fireguard.

It isn't the discussion of 'unreleased tracks' that Prince
has the problem with. It's the discussion of bootleg albums.
There is a subtle difference.

So it's perfectly OK to talk about 'All My Dreams', 'Feel
Good', 'Slave 2 The System' & 'Rootie Kazootie' etc. What
Prince would have an issue with would be saying that all
these tracks are available on the Moonraker bootleg CD
'Fantasia'.

So Uptown are fine publishing books like 'Turn It Up', cuz
it documents the tracks themselves, without any information
about what bootlegs those tracks may be on.
