I downloaded a live performance of prince and was wondering what show it came on.
It start out by prince walking onto the stage with the band all ready to go, he's wearing everything black and glittery, with a huge blue coat. He kicks off the song the greatest romance ever sold, then when its time to sing the first verse, he said I feel like Prince tonight as he puts on his shades. Then the bands breaks it down to Alphabet Street, then later during the song he invites people on stage to dance. Then he does this instrumental that i don't know what is called. But prince was saying N.P.G don't let the devil make ya, then the croud begins to chant something that I don't know what they're saying. But Prince was like "whatcha doin', oh! you can't you can't, then he tells mike to do his solo.

Anyways that was a bad jam. Cannot anyone tell me what they were chanting and what show this was from?

It was a french programm "NPA" canal + (11/17/99). They played 1st "baby knows" and after the medley "tgres/alphabet st/johnny".
