I love the song totally, but my favorite performace was the Tonight Show version, the Alladin DVD as a whole is lifeless to me, none of them seem into it at all. | |

Again with the "its no courtin' time". What is wrong with Courtin' time? It is a cool 50'swing like tune. It makes me laugh every time I see that. | |

Co-sign about the Tonight Show version! It was really awesome to see Prince on Jay! But i disagree with you on the topic of the Aladdin DVD, I think they were definitely into it, but it was a more jazzy, subdued "into it." | |

It must be one of P's best songs in years. I prefer the studio version, personally. The complaint and slap bit is a masterful rebuke to critics and the like. | |

I agree that the studio version is far better than the live version. IT's the funkiest thing he's done in a long while... |

Courtin' Time is my favorite song off of the whole 3-disc Emancipation set -- and I like quite a few songs on there. No confusion, no tears. No enemies, no fear. No sorrow, no pain. No ball, no chain.
