i liked the album didnt think it was brill but some great song's...

I prefer the Rave In2 version of this track.

classic prince. i like the rave in2 version too but i prefer the original mix from '99. too many songs from rave undeservedly get forgotten because people diss the album as a whole, and man o' war is one of them.

Not classic Prince, by any means, but it's still one of the better tracks on Rave.

This seems like a sequel to "I Hate U" to me. Not quite as hard edged, and slightly less bitter. I love it. I tend to love most of his "falling out of love ballads".

I really like this track. Great to sing along with also. I've always been able to connect with feelings of hopelessness and sadness and slight desperation - especially at the point where he is talking about needing to feel wanted again. Great track, imo.

This track has never done much for me i must admit.

I must confess that I didn't like this song much at first but it really grew on me. I found myself singing it for no reason and later began to connect with the lyrics. Thumbs up to Man O' War.

LOVE IT!!!

I love the sound and feel of this track, but for some reason a lot of the lyrics get on my nerves...It's okay, though, it helped me fine tune a way of listening to Prince without paying attention to what the lyrics are saying. This came in very handy when The Rainbow Children came out



incidentally...this track used to get a decent amount of airplay on an AM radio soul station in MPLS back at that time!

This is one of those great songs that comes from a album that is wrongly thrashed. Like "The One" from Newpowersoul, that album has several gems but still gets badmouthed. Haters make no sense.

I like this song. It's not up there in my top 10 or anything, but I do like it.

I like it but it gets a little repetitive at the end...like so many prince songs of the 90s

I like the song, but this line/rhyme makes me cringe every time.
