Prince VS Lenny Kravitz I watched the rave DVD last night and I was cracking up during the Lenny Kravitz bit 
Prince totally outstaged and out classed Lenny making him look like a nervous backing guitarist on 14 bucks an hour. One minute it's a Lenny song and the next it's a Purple song...  much in the same way that I now associate Hendrix's Red House more with Prince or Osbornes what if God was 1 of us, because of his amazing versions-Prince is now officially the king of another 2 songs he never wrote-American Woman and Fly Away. 
"Other songs in this category include" Just my imagination, Betcha by Golly Wow and even the Happy birthday 2 U song which Prince sang 2 Cat in Camden Town London in 1988... 
Hardcore prince Funksters will know that 1 of his favourite films of all time is Amadeus. Now if U go and watch the film and see the part where the Court composer Salelari (or something like that) wites a song 4 Mozart who in turn changed=s the song and performs it back making the songs composer look like a prick..

Prince knows who he can take. Lenny isn't all that on guitar and Prince knows it. I bet he wouldn't have done Tender Surrender and tried to pull that on Steve Vai. Vai would eat him alive. Besides, at a Prince show, its Prince's show. Period. I don't think he would invite anyone onstage who would upstage him. | |

Lenny Kravitz isn't all that period... The guy's just crap... And indeed if Prince invited Steve Vai and tried to pull a "I'm better than you" trick on his guitar or upstage him, Steve would probably be humble about it and give him the pleasure (that's the kind of nice guy he is) but if he kept it up and would brag about it on stage (something Prince loves to do) Steve would go Zappa on his ass...
