I think that Prince has lost his creativity since TRC (Not Live) but in studio the artist isn't anymore like he used 2 !!

Chill out. Larry is not Prince's devil and Prince has not lost his funk. He may need a break tho'. I would suggest he travels through Africa.

Prince will never lose his funk. It comes too naturally for him. He is much more mature these days and that reflects in his recent music, but the funk will never die! 1+1+1=3 is proof of that!!

Prince isn't twenty-something no more, his brand of funk now reflects that.

I don't necessarily think that Prince has abandoned "the funk" for good. I mean, he could bring it back whenever he wants to. He's still got soul and groove, but he's just vibing on something different now. But I'm guessing that you're longing for some of that old school funk that Prince used to hit us with. Well, my friend, the 70's and 80's are dead and buried. We just gotta roll with the new and we gotta try Prince's "new funk". No, he hasn't lost it at all, it's just in a different form now.

But it's the Red Hot Chil Peppers that I'm worried about...

prince lost the minneapolis funk, but he can still funk. you know?

He's still got the funk, but he needs to get off the jazz already. It doesn't suit him as much.
