Which do you perfer. My vote goes to ROmance 1600. I mean you have a Love Bizarre Dear Michaelangelo and Toy Box. Those 3 tracks alone puts it a notch above The Glamorous Life.

I get the biggest kick when she says " I can't go to the club without my jewels" That right there makes toy box!

I like "Sheila E" better than all of her albums. Romance 1600 is my 2nd favorite and TGL comes in last.

I agree, the third album is her best, most consistent work.I was really surprised that it didn't do better. The album had at least four strong songs that could have been singles...

"Faded Photographs"
"Love On A Blue Train"
"The Pride And The Passion"
"Boy's Club"

This is like asking would you rather lose your left hand or your right hand. The third album was off the hook as well.

Koo-Koo, Hold Me.. Sheila has the funk.

The "Sheila E" album beats both, but If I had to pick, then Romance 1600. That was Sheila's "Parade".

Such colour!

As excited as I was when I first heard the Sister Fate 12" in a Munich record store during summer abroad (I was waiting on pins and needles for the follow up to TGM)...

Glamorous Life is defintiely the best album of all... including all other Prince Proteges. It is always going to be on my "desert island album" list.

Every song rocks... and the percussion jamming on the last half of "The Glamorous Life" is unbelievable.

I loved Romance 1600 when it came out but don't listen to it much now. It's hard to listen to Love Bizarre album version cuz the live version ever since Romance 1600 Live with all the extra horn parts is so much better ("If you're ready for the new part, say 'Yeah!'") big grin .

A lot of songs sounded better to me live on the video (Sister Fate, Toy Box).

Glamorous Life album cover and video are also the best ever IMO.
